Years 5 and 6 Numeracy

Thank you for all those parents who took the time to see me during and after parent teacher interviews. It was great to see similar faces and new parents. Those parents who were unable to see me can always email me for any concerns.

This term in Year 5 we have covered multiplication, division, maps area and time. In Year 6 students have looked at multiplication and division, length/area, maps and time. Both Years had a project to present for Statistics and Probability. Year 6s continued with fractions whereas the Year 5s continued with extended multiplication and division.

The Year 6 students had a great excursion to the historic Polly Woodside. Students experienced some of the activities that may have taken place during the voyage, followed by a short video on the journey the ship took.
